Posture fixes that actually work

Posture fixes that actually work

“Sit up straight” is easier said than done. Good posture isn’t about forcing yourself rigid all day — it’s about building habits and support so a healthy position feels natural. Here’s what actually works.

Why posture matters more than you think

Poor posture loads your spine unevenly for hours a day, every day. Over time that means neck pain, back pain, tension headaches, and reduced mobility. Fixing it relieves problems you might not even connect to posture.

Fixes that stick

  1. Set your screen at eye level. The single biggest fix for “tech neck.”
  2. Move every 30 minutes. Posture isn’t a pose you hold — it’s movement. Short, frequent breaks beat sitting “perfectly” for hours.
  3. Strengthen your upper back and core. These muscles hold you upright. A few minutes of daily chin-tucks and shoulder-blade squeezes go a long way.
  4. Open your hips. Tight hip flexors from sitting pull your posture out of line. Daily stretching helps.
  5. Sleep supported. A neutral spine at night matters as much as during the day.

Where chiropractic comes in

Habits help — but if your spine is already stuck in poor alignment, willpower alone won’t fix it. We restore proper motion to the joints, release the tension that’s been pulling you out of position, and coach you on the handful of exercises that keep you there.
