If you’ve never seen a chiropractor, the unknown can feel a little intimidating. It shouldn’t. A good first visit is mostly listening, examining, and explaining — not surprises. Here’s exactly what to expect.
Before you arrive
You’ll usually fill out a short health history (we can send your forms ahead of time so you’re not stuck in the waiting room). Bring your insurance card and a list of any medications. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in.
Step 1: The consultation
Your visit starts with a real conversation. We want to understand what’s bothering you, how long it’s been going on, what makes it better or worse, and how it’s affecting your daily life. This is the most important part — the more we understand, the better we can help.
Step 2: The examination
Next comes a hands-on exam: posture, range of motion, orthopedic and neurological tests, and — when it’s warranted — imaging. The goal is to find the cause of your pain, not just the spot that hurts.
Step 3: Your plan
We’ll explain what we found in plain language and lay out a recommended plan: what we’ll do, roughly how long it should take, and what you can do at home. You’ll never be pressured into a mystery package.
Step 4: Your first treatment
In many cases we begin care the same day — a gentle, targeted adjustment plus any supporting therapy like massage or cold laser. Our $99 new-patient special includes the exam, consultation, and your first treatment.
What you’ll feel
Most people feel relief, lightness, or improved mobility right away. It’s normal to feel a little tired or mildly sore the next day as your body adjusts — like after a good workout. That usually passes quickly.
Common questions
Does the first visit hurt? No. Adjustments are gentle and tailored to your comfort.
